23 | PANSEXUAL | MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER | GENERALIZED ANXIETY
Aurora is fairly simple to understand. She is currently living under the principal of “fake it ‘til you make it”. There are no ‘multiple personalities’, but there might as well be for all the acts and masks she puts on for people.
By herself, she is indifferent, unfeeling, cold, and a bit of a bitch. She is hard on herself, self-conscious, and brooding. Not the happiest girl to ever live, that’s for sure, however she could fool you well enough. Around patients and doctors, she is friendly, funny, and a bit of a do-gooder. She will smile, tell jokes and stories, and almost come across as maternal, caring for others and trying to find purpose.
To earn Aurora’s trust is special, she would call you a true friend if you do. Only then will she drop her guard a little and let you in. She will still be kind and caring still, but more open about things that have happened to her and offer advice to you in return. If she really cares, she might even write you a letter saying so for lack of being able to express the words herself.
FRIENDS She doesn't really have friends, but Aurora is kind, approachable, and a great listener. One may get close to her but she's not quick to consider you a friend though she may call you her friend out of convenience. She will always try to steer the conversation away from herself.
With a little social anxiety and lack of confidence, she isn't usually quick to start conversations. However, if you're reading a book she will ask you what it's about and try to talk about it because, chances are, she read it. She is more likely to be more comfortable with women than men, still friendly with both genders, but more trusting of women.
She tends to rate people in her head based on the following scale:
- 1 - Insignificant
- 2 - Minor
- 3 - Okay
- 4 - Awesome
- 5 - Friends/Trustworthy
- 6 - Good Friends
- 7 - Best Friends
- 8 - The Level No One Gets To (When they know everything about each other)
ENEMIES You'll have to do something pretty terrible to get on her bad side. She is more likely to drop you down to neutral or insignificant again before going to hate. You have to WORK to get to hate.
She hates her mother, step-mother, and mother's boyfriend. That's it.
LOVERS Aurora has had one girlfriend after a slew of almost-boyfriends that she just couldn't feel comfortable with or trust. Before meeting her girlfriends, she was resigned to being alone forever. She could never get comfortable with men, never get past kissing and into something more even though she desperately wanted to lose her virginity- she just couldn't do it with a man.
She and her girlfriend broke up mutually in the midst of all the shit going on between Aurora's mother, boyfriend, and herself. Her life was too big of a mess for a relationship- and she was right.
